Vehicle Mechanic

Proactive Personnel Ltd are proud to be recruiting for our market leading automotive dealership network in the East Midlands area. Specifically, we are recruiting for Newly Qualified / Experienced or Master Technicians in the Leicester area.

Experience and Skills required for a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Master Technician:

• You must be a team player who is always on hand to help and assist if required
• Main Dealer Experience
• An MOT testing qualification is desirable, but this isn't essential.
• A full valid driving licence as a minimum

Duties included:

• Inspect customers’ vehicles/goods, prior to and on completion of service, maintenance or repair work.
• Undertake diagnosis of repair requirements to vehicles.
• Conduct electronic visual health checks
• Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair in a safe and efficient manner to MOT and manufacturer standards.
• Undertake major engine work - such as engine - gearbox replacements.
• Ensure a final inspection of all work
• Record accurate details of work done on Repair Order
• Participate in on-going training
• Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians, where applicable.

Required skills and experience:

We are able to consider candidates with a variety of experience ranging from Level 2 (Newly Qualified), Level 3 and time served candidates for these roles.

Any mechanics who have experience of running your own garage or self-employed business are also encouraged to apply! In return, you can expect to earn £25,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on skill level). A bonus also paid depending on workshop targets.
