VAT Specialist

Growing Accountancy Practice in the South East of England are seeking to expand their VAT team and take on a VAT specialist / VAT Associate. This is a dedicated VAT role and is ideally suited to those with extensive VAT experience who are keen to continue their career in Tax.

You will join the dedicated VAT team and work under the VAT manager. Excellent internal progression routes are available and this is a firm dedicated to personal and professional development. This role is in their Farnham office but on occasion, you may need to travel or liaise with other offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with staff internally and externally,
• Advising on VAT matters
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Providing technical knowledge and assistance, advising on efficiency, legislation and technical analysis
• Providing support to the portfolio
• In-depth reviews of client's businesses' Tax Systems to ensure accuracy in VAT reporting, advising on improvements where necessary

Your experience:

• Experience in a VAT advisory role
• Experience with a UK Accountancy Practice essential
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and analytical skills
• Professional Tax qualifications are desirable but accountancy qualifications are also considered
