Pertemps are currently recruiting for van drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.

Location: East and West of Edinburgh
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 07.30-15.42 with 60min break or 4 days on 4 days off 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £12.81 - £14.35 per hour depending on shift pattern
Temporary ongoing work

Duties to Include:
  • Driving the relevant vehicles
  • Working as part of a team
  • Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
  • Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
  • General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding)
Essential requirements:
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Maximum of 6 points on your licence
Successful candidates will:
  • Be flexible
  • Be reliable
  • Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
  • Be health and safety conscious
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Have previous driving experience
  • Work outdoors in all weather
