Umbraco Developer - remote

A travel provider with a £220 million pound annual turnover are building greenfield bespoke systems to enable business growth. The systems and applications you will work on will be used by thousands of people and will impact the travel sector on a huge scale. They are passionate about customer experience with their values at the heart of everything they do.

The preference is that you are local to Sunderland, however a remote model can also be considered if you are within a 3 hour radius and can make adhoc trips for example once a month to the office.  

What does the role as an Umbraco / .NET Developer involve?

• Working as part of the Digital team, you'll be responsible for the ongoing development and improvements to various eCommerce websites as well as other internal applications using Umbraco and .NET Core. 
• You'll overhaul the user experience, introducing a host of new functionality that will increase customer engagement and in turn create a bigger return of investment.  
• You'll work alongside the CTO, Product owners, Software Developers and Testers in an agile environment to work in true collaboration. 

Technical skills required ( must be in a commercial setting with at least 3 years + )

• Solid Umbraco experience (V7/8/9/10+)
• Develop responsive web solutions from design prototypes
• Strong examples in C#, .NET/Core, SQL, MVC/Razor, WCF services, Web API’s, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript
• Strong Git, SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio skills.
• Agile/SCRUM experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Third-party API integration experience
• Familiarity with task tracking and estimating in a DevOps/Agile environment

Package & Interview Process

• Base salary up to £65,000, 25 days Holiday + Bank hols, Private Medical & Life Assurance.
