Do you have a nurturing, patient, and innovativeapproach to helping studentsre-engage with learning?

At Prospero Teaching, we are looking for dedicated and compassionate Tutors to join our expanding team in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas this September. Our tutors provide 1:1 support to learners who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and or/ Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many of these young people may be out of mainstream education and in need of a tailored, therapeutic approach to learning.

Location: Bournemouth / Hours - to be confirmed

As a Tutor, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, personalised sessions.
  • Support students across English, Maths, and possibly Science.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate weekly records on attendance and progress.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with learners.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, creativity, and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working within UK schools - essential.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN/SEMH.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate (on the Update Service or willing to apply for one).
  • Able to provide professional references.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willing to complete this through us).
