I am currently recruiting for a Trust Accountant to join a prestigious firm based in Newcastle. You will primarily be responsible for handling the affairs of HNW individuals, trusts, and estates.

If you have experience handling trusts in an accounting firm then this role could be a great next step for you.

What you will do:

  • Independently manage trust accounts and personal/trust returns, including preparation and review.
  • Oversee day-to-day trust affairs for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Ensure client engagement letters are in place and fees are agreed upon and billed accurately.
  • Collaborate with trust and tax team members to manage client affairs comprehensively and efficiently.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide support to the wider team in maintaining compliance.

What experience you will have:

  • Strong experience preparing accounts within a practice environment
  • Experience with CCH Trust Accounts
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience handling a portfolio of clients
  • An ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
