Transport Planner
Bennett and Game are currently partnering with one of the UK's most credible and longstanding Transport companies actively looking for a Transport Planner to join their Hull location.
Our client has over 100 years proven experience in the Transport industry and have cemented their position as one of the leading employers in this field. With health & safety and professionalism at the heart of what they do, this a great opportunity for an inspiring Transport Planner to progress their career.
Transport Planner Position Overview- Manage drivers' routes with a core focus in maximising fuel, load, and time efficiency.
- Matching customer orders and requirements to available and suitable resources.
- Prepares schedules, order entry and regularly update in-house computer systems.
- Supervise drivers, including documentation, working hours, tacho data (with Transport Manager).
- Manage vehicle maintenance/repairs - booking in MOT's, ensuring the fleet is readily available against customer demands.
- Transport planning experience within Wide & Abnormal loads and Escort Services - Highly Desirable.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Transport environment.
- A Management or Driver CPC would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communicator with good relationship building skills.
- Excel / Computer literate is essential.
- Salary DOE £26 - 32k
