Are you ready to take the wheel in a dynamic and rewarding role? We're seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to join our client, a fast growing and thriving FMCG company in Kent. As a Transport Planner, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their daily routes and the satisfaction of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
*Rota Management: Build and maintain driver rotas to ensure optimal coverage of daily routes.
*Communication Hub: Act as the main point of contact for the driving team, addressing queries and ensuring efficient communication.
*Efficiency and Compliance: Manage rotas in a manner that is efficient, safe and compliant with company policies and regulations.
*People Processes: Collaborate with supervisors and coordinators to ensure smooth people processes, including absence management and HR system updates.
*Attention to Detail: With over 130 drivers and mates to manage, attention to detail is vital to success in this role.
Role Requirements:
*Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for effectively managing a diverse team.
*Positive Attitude: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills are key to managing your own time and responsibilities efficiently.
*Tech Savvy: Experience with transport management systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
*Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
