Transport Planner

Our clients are one of the leading specialist waste management organisations in the UK and due to continued growth are looking to add to their existing transport and logistics team with an additional transport planner. The company have enjoyed outstanding recent growth and this role is an excellent chance to join a business that is constantly growing and therefore offering genuine career opportunities.

Good geographical knowledge of mainland UK is essential for this role and experience of planning using automated routing TMS software such as Paragon, Optrak or similar is desirable.

We are looking for someone with great customer service skills, who has excellent written and numerical skills too.

A positive attitude is a must, and flexibility is key to working within our clients team.

The successful candidate should be well organised and possess the ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure.

Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.

Experience working within waste industry most desirable, however, alternative industries with relevant experience will be considered.

Working hours are 8.30 - 5pm, although due to the nature of the role flexibility is essential.
