Transformation Project Manager (Blockchain)

An exciting opportunity to spearhead innovation at the core of the UK public sector. Through transforming Identity Management with ever evolving blockchain technology, the way we manage our information could be revolutionised.

Rate: £700 per day

Location: Greater London, with travel to rest of UK

Duration: Initially 6 Months

Position Overview: As the Transformation Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a comprehensive feasibility study and pilot project to assess the viability and benefits of implementing blockchain technology in relation to future proofing the IAM function. This is an initial 6 to 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on project outcomes and funding availability. The responsibilities below include those of the whole speculative programme of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the feasibility study and pilot project, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and identity management teams, to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current identity management systems and processes, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and evaluate blockchain technology solutions, assessing their suitability, feasibility, and potential impact on identity management practices.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of blockchain-based identity management solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and experts as needed to support project activities and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management and project sponsors.

Your profile should have:

  • SC Cleared (or eligible to undergo clearance)
  • Proven experience driving innovation at a strategic level, and delivering successful transformation projects, and programmes of work.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain technology, specific to identity management.
  • Experience working in the public sector and familiarity with government regulations, policies, and security requirements.
  • Professional certifications a bonus
  • Ability to travel between UK sites
