As a trainee, you'll receive comprehensive training and support to develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this rewarding role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Shadow experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to gain practical experience and insight into supporting students with diverse needs.
  2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies under the guidance of senior staff.
  3. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them to engage with learning activities and reach their full potential.
  4. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create inclusive learning environments that cater to the needs of all students.
  5. Assist with classroom activities, differentiation, and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  6. Foster positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, support, and reassurance.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
