We are currently recruiting for a well-respected insurance broking firm who have an opportunity for someone join them as a Trainee Claims Handler in their Luton office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a route into the insurance industry.
The firm specialises in providing personal lines (B2C) insurance solutions to a diverse range of industry sectors, and this role will sit on their Personal Lines Claims team.
They are seeking to recruit a someone with either a few months’ work experience, or a school/college leaver who would like a career in Insurance, as full and ongoing training will be provided, including study support to attain the Cert CII qualification, so this is genuinely a great opportunity! You will need to possess a professional telephone manner and be highly literate with good numeracy skills, and ultimately be looking for a real career!
You will be responsible for reviewing new claims received and ascertaining whether they satisfy policy conditions and therefore warrant support under the insurance, sending a letter of declinature when claims not covered within specified timescales, preparing and issuing appropriate new claims letters/forms and statements to the client and or solicitors within specified timescales, reviewing responses from solicitors and negotiating terms of instruction under supervisor, sending out claims forms, handling and responding to inbound post within specified timescales and handling inbound telephone calls and responding appropriately and in a courteous and efficient manner

Salary on offer is £14-15k to start.
Office Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am-12noon on a rota.
