Accounts Trainee - £19-21,000 per annum, plus the AAT or ACA full study package, pension,

flexible benefits package and more! Office based, Camberley.

Salary & Benefits:

Starting £19-21,000 per annum increasing with examinations passed, experience and responsibilities; 29 days annual leave including bank holidays. Full study package (worth around £8,000 for AAT and £20k for ACA) including professional study fees and training courses, books, membership fees and provision of sufficient study time alongside relevant job-related work experience. Pension and flexible benefits. Core hours 9am to 5.15pm, 1 hour for lunch daily. Start date dependent on your availability between now and early September 2024.

A long established, forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants, acting for 800+ clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to large corporations is expanding and now looking to appoint three ADDITIONAL accounts trainees. These jobs will suit those interested in studying for the AAT or ACA professional accounting qualifications; a perfect opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in practice accounting, earning whilst learning (fully funded study package and study leave) in an exceptional environment. Such trainee opportunities are rare, especially those offering progression through the firm, and the potential to undertake further sponsored accounting related studies moving forward.

The Role:

The position will allow you to develop your accounting skills whilst playing a vital role in our Accounts, Tax and Bookkeeping Departments. You will be fully sponsored through studies at college (Reading) for the AAT or ACA studies and exams and you will be mentored throughout your training, helping you to achieve your full potential.

Key tasks will include:

  • Bookkeeping - using various software such as Xero and Sage 50
  • VAT returns - preparation and submission to HMRC
  • Accounts preparation for sole traders and limited companies
  • Dealing with client queries

You will develop your skills by gaining practical experience and through studying the many aspects of accountancy.

Key applicant requirements:

  • Good G.C.S.E. and ideally A Level results for AAT, or degree education if looking to pursue the ACA position
  • Good mathematical ability
  • Accurate and keen eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good time management and the ability to balance work alongside college studies
