Trader Support / Traders Assistant - Functional Support, E-Trading, Futures & Options - Fidessa, Trading Technologies, Stellar, CQG, WebIce, CME Direct.

Candidates must have in depth knowledge of Exchange Traded Futures & Options / Derivatives and ideally some experience with one of the ISV’s product (Fidessa, Trading Technologies etc.) providing a mix of Business, Functional and a basic level of IT Support to the Traders.

Role Overview:

• Setting Up New Trader Accounts and Limits
• Setting up Trader’s Access to the various Exchanges
• Providing Functional Support on the Trading Systems
• Checking and Managing Order Status - cancelling orders when necessary
• Following up on any trade discrepancies with the Exchanges.

Whilst ideally you’ll currently be in a similar role, candidates coming from a number of different backgrounds may be considered including:

• Ex Broker / Trader
• Functional Support or Account Relationship Management
• Trader Support / Trade Mitigation
• IT Support Analyst - Market Data / Trade Floor Support - With In Depth Business Knowledge

Whilst ideally Fidessa, Trading Technologies or Object Trading candidates MUST have experience either as a User or Supporting at least ONE of the ISV’s systems and their related Exchanges.

Ideal Skills:

• Previous experience with Futures & Options Trading / Settlement Systems.
• Knowledge of at least one of the ISV’s products - Fidessa, Trading Technologies, Object Trading, Deltix, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, ION / Patsystems, Trayport.
• Exchange Connectivity - ICE / LIFFE, Eurex, CME / CBOT, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.

Other Desirable but Non-Essential Skills:

• FIX Connectivity - Client On-boarding, Support / Troubleshooting of FIX Logs / Connections.
• Compliance and User Acceptance testing - UAT - for any upgrades
• Providing Functionality Analysis and Implementation of New Systems
• Other Market Data - Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
• Any Knowledge of Windows Desktop - 7/8/10.
• Managing vendor system upgrades and implementation.
• Basic level of - Linux - RedHat, Ubuntu, Solaris, SQL.
