The Trade Support team plays a vital role within Back Office, not only providing support to the dealing desk but also carrying out a number of dealing and administrative functions.

Working within the Operations department you will be involved with a wide variety of tasks including postal dealing, Bed & ISA/SIPP instructions, settlement of equity and fund trades, and resolution of queries and discrepancies that arise from the trading and settlement cycle.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can meet the challenge of performing a wide range of tasks and have the ability to work and perform well in a high pressurised environment. You will be hardworking, enthusiastic and very organised. You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work well in a team. Full training will be provided so no prior experience is necessary, although would be beneficial.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing Bed & ISA / Bed & SIPP instructions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Undertaking dealing on client accounts in accordance with their instructions
  • Contacting clients and third party companies by telephone and post
  • Resolving reconciliation queries that arise from equity and fund trading
  • Ongoing adherence to FCA regulations and understanding of how regulations will impact the department

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Educated to AS/A level (or equivalent)
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working in an office environment particularly financial services
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Confident telephone manner

Desirable skills

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Professional qualifications in stockbroking/financial services
  • Knowledge of HL products and services
  • Knowledge of financial markets

  • Understanding of FCA /CASS regulations
  • Extensive experience of dealing with clients, responding to queries and providing exceptional client service
  • Excellent communication skills
