Are you an Accounts Trainee / Accounts Assistant who is currently studying the AAT (probably level 3 or 4) with between 12 and 36 months of experience from a practice background and looking to upgrade to a Top 50 accountancy firm based in a City location? Are you keen to work with a wide variety of clients from interesting sectors such as media, entertainment, Film & TV, creative, retail, technology and property? Are you keen to work in a friendly department, in a growing business services and outsourcing team and have the opportunity to progress in the future? If so, this growing Top 50 accountancy practice firm with 100 staff and based in a prime location in Central London is looking to recruit a new Accounts Trainee / Accounts Assistant due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from much larger firms. Your role will be varied, and will include be trained so you can prepare statutory accounts and management accounts, general bookkeeping duties, VAT returns, simple tax returns and various reports, analysis and business management assignments for a wide range of very interesting clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. You will work in a well established team that will provide you with many growth and development opportunities in the future.
To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be studying for the AAT qualification, or possibly just started (or looking to start) the ACCA. You must have at least 12 - 18 months experience working for a UK based practice firm, and have experience of bookkeeping and Vat returns and ideally starting to produce management accounts. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including sage and Xero, would be an advantage. You must be confident, outgoing, a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines. You must be looking to upgrade to a mid tier practice where you can continue with your accountancy career, learn new skills and take on high levels of responsibility in a short space of time.
