Territory Manager

Do you want to work for one of the UK's largest retailers? Do you want to demonstrate and utilise your sales management skills in a rewarding environment?

We are looking for a Territory Manager to look after London and its surrounding areas for a 12 month period (with possible permanent position thereafter).

The purpose of the role is to deliver at least a budgeted level of sales, via processes & staff behaviours laid down by the Company, ensuring all staff are fully compliant with the relevant law, professional regulations and Company policies.

PRIMARY DUTIES
1.Improve and maximise individual dispenser and receptionist performance:
*Ensure all relevant staff are appropriately trained (in detail)
*Ensure all staff comply with process and behaviours laid down by Company
*Personally, devote maximum time to 1:2:1 support and effective supervision of all staff.
*Council, coach, support, motivate, pressure and discipline staff.
*Identify specific training needs and communicate poor performers to Senior Manager (SM).
*With SM agreement, conduct investigations and implement measures to improve performance, including disciplinary action.
*Daily contact with all branch staff - with personal visits at least monthly and phone attendance at daily huddle a minimum of weekly.
*Ensure daily and other regular reports are timely and accurate.
*Rigorous, systematic and effective focus on individuals.
2.Ensure appropriate use and control of company assets:
a.Individual audits at least 4 times per year
b.Periodic branch stock takes as required by Support Centre
c.Clean, tidy, consistent (brand), efficient and inviting branches
d.Clean, well-serviced cars
3.Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures and the law generally with a working knowledge of HCPC & BSHAA guidelines.
4.Deal with staff concerns in line with company policy, keeping SM informed, referring upwards for the decision on issues which really cannot be resolved by you.
5.Ensure branch premises, facilities and all staff are presented as ambassadors for the brand and that constant focus is maintained on delivering world-class customer service and satisfaction
6.Deal with client problems dispensers are unable to handle, keeping SM and Customer Services informed but referring upwards for resolution only when necessary.

7.Stay professionally up to date maintaining a personal development plan & develop staff.

*Head of Development & Training
*Tele-appointing Manager
*National Compliance Manager
*Other Area & functional Managers

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
KEY:
*Successful management/supervisory experience, ideally in a regulated, geographically dispersed retail and/or healthcare environment.
*Driven to achieve and maintain high compliance with team - able to give direction in a robust but non-confrontational manner.
*Highly process orientated, with a structured and consistent approach
*Effective and rigorous with the granular detail at individual staff member level.
*Able to influence and enforce behavioural change and deliver sales without compromising brand standards.
*Competent with Microsoft Office and adept with proprietary systems etc.
Other:
*Driven, tenacious, able to challenge and confront other members of a team whilst continuing to work effectively within that team.
*Influencing skills to persuade others to follow a specific course of action but able to switch easily to directive when called for.
*A naturally compliant person who is able to carry out instruction and follow up.
*An ordered, logical mind, able to work effectively in a structured and process driven environment
*Strong self-discipline and comfortable in carrying out routine tasks regularly and consistently
