Temporary Part-Time Finance Assistant

Our client a global leader in their field is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Finance Assistant to work in their friendly and supportive team.

• Based in Chessington
• £14.35 - £16.50
• Part time, 15 - 18 hrs per week spread across 3 days
• Paid weekly
• Parking

Job specification:

• Inputting AP invoices on a timely and accurate basis.
• Checking credit cards for receipts, authorisation etc. including monitoring employee compliance with providing support, and chasing for missing information.
• Inputting authorised Credit Cards expense claims.
• Inputting authorised personal (non credit card) expenses
• Year end (31 March) audit - finding & providing supporting documents required by our external auditors.
• Issuing of customer (sales) statements
• Assisting with Credit control - ensuring customers pay on time, chasing for payments (working in conjunction with sales managers), investigating unusual or other old balances, and assisting with allocating payments and credit notes
• Assisting with collating and chasing Research and Development team timesheets, to ensure submitted on time by relevant employees
• Filing of finance records
• Setting up new customers & suppliers on Epicor, for reviewing by Financial Controller
• Using AEB system for new customers and suppliers, including documenting results of checks, for review by Financial Controller.
• Helping support the finance team to achieve month end close deadlines

Person specification:

• Experience of reliable, consistent financial processing whilst being willing and able to query and investigate any unusual looking items, and demonstration of confidence of working well with Finance colleagues, is key to successfully performing in the role.
• Epicor, Sage or other similar financial systems experience
• Immediate availability would be ideal
