WHAT DOES THIS JOB INVOLVE?

We are looking for a Junior IT Infrastructure Technician to support and provide monitoring of our network infrastructure. You will be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining and developing our IT infrastructure, so that it meets business objectives and SLAs.

We can provide the successful candidate a great platform to learn, with the potential for further certifiable training available to give them the tools and real-world experience to succeed.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Assisting users who walk up to the service desk requesting assistance.
  • Assist in handling the volumes of contacts made by the business into Technology globally through phone, email, self-service and direct contact, assisting in resolving or reassignment to the appropriate teams where applicable.
  • To ensure that customers are provided with regular updates on fault diagnosis prior to resolution and follow up with customers fully.
  • Escalate support queries to appropriate IT teams and work collaboratively to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform user administration tasks on a host of end-user based applications and systems, both locally and globally.
  • Provide support to all mobile and end users devices, personally owned where appropriate.
  • Understand the full range of services that the Service Desk provides and prioritize team workload accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the businesses and support priorities.
  • Liaise with globally distributed Service Desk staff to maintain consistently good support for all staff.
  • Contribute to the continual service improvement of end-user services.
  • On a regular basis input 'Problems’ that are seen on the desk into the Problem management process, and coordinate through to finding the root cause.
  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound telephone calls, take and pass on relevant messages and present an excellent image of the company in doing so.
  • Resolve administrative problems and enquiries and give written and oral responses to routine enquiries received from external parties.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the purview of the post.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All you need is EEWAP - Energy, Enthusiasm, Willingness to Learn, Ability to Take Feedback and Propensity to Take Action.

You’ll also need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Employer Partnerships team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in Maths and English.
