Technical Sales Engineer

The company

A leading engineering company, with an annual group turnover of over £20 million, who specialise in the design and manufacture of material handling solutions for wastewater. They have been the market leader in wastewater systems, grit capture and conveyor systems for over 40 years and have offices located all around the world. Due to a rapid growth and expansion, the company are now seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team at their Banbury site.

The role

Reporting into the General Manager, the company are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to grow existing lines of business and develop new enquiries. The hours for the role are 8:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday, working remotely with regular visits to the Banbury office required. They will cover the North, Midlands or South of England.

You will take responsibility for:

• Having an in-depth understanding of the product range
• Understanding client specifications in order to quote suitable products and systems
• Creating and implementing sales development plans
• Analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities
• Handing over complete proposals to the projects team who

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Proven track record in technical sales
• Need to have a mechanical engineering background
• Experience with MS Office and Excel

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience within the wastewater or materials handling industry
• Experience with CAD
