Technical Sales Engineer

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, specialist manufacturer located in Bishops Frome. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent contract.

This is a Monday - Friday position working 08:00am - 17:00pm with a salary on offer up to £35,000 which is pending relevant experience, entry into the company bonus scheme, onsite parking, health care cash plan and more!

As a Technical Seales Engineer you will help maintain the current customer base and develop new business relationships within the healthcare and fire suppression industries.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid technical understanding of the company and its products (full product training will be given to the successful applicant). Your engineering knowledge combined with excellent communication skills will enable you to successfully build rapport with existing and potential clients.

Experience in HVAC/Fire industry desirable, but not essential - however we must see evidence of a successful history in sales and business development.

Technical Sales Engineer main duties:

• Administering sales quotations and processing orders
• Providing technical assistance to clients
• Promoting sales and generating leads through market research
• Negotiating and closing sales
• Creating sales reports and literature
• Maintaining existing, and developing new, relationships with customers
• Providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Accurately maintaining in-house CRM system
• Adhering to the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Technical Sales Engineer required skills and experience:

• Experience in HVAC/Fire industry desirable, but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office and sales databases
• Proactive, self-motivated individual who can work on own initiative
• Strong team player
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
