SEN Teaching Assistant| Brixton, SW2 | £95 - £105 per day | Long-term to perm | Sept start

Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of children with special education needs?

If so, LTF Recruitment are working with a fantastic school in South London to aid in recruitment for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity allows you join the classroom teachers in providing tailored support to children with special educational needs. We are offering this full-time opportunity to an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, which is available for a September start and for the right person will be made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children with SEN, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information being presented.
  • Work alongside the dedicated support staff and engage class interaction to ensure pupils are engaged throughout lessons.
  • Undertake required administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with child's parent or carer and teacher to provide them with daily records and progress.
  • Create an inclusive environment so every child feels valued, whilst meeting the unique needs of each child.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification like a Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools.
  • Successful experience with working with children with special educational needs or at least a minimum of 1 years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanour whilst also having a flexible approach to working with children.
  • A valid DBS or willing to apply for a new DBS.
