The Role:

As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a Year 7 boy with SEND, providing personalised assistance that allows him to access and excel in his education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with teachers to adapt materials and teaching strategies to meet the student's unique needs.
  • Building a strong rapport with the student, promoting his engagement and confidence in the learning process.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitoring the student's progress and providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Upholding safeguarding policies to ensure the student's welfare.

Requirements:
