The Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with SEND, helping them access a tailored education and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, focusing on their unique requirements.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assisting with personal care and mobility needs, as required.
  • Upholding safeguarding policies and ensuring the welfare of all students.
