Teaching Assistant Position Available

Are you passionate about supporting the educational journey of secondary school students? Accelerate Teaching, based in Kirklees, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as directed by the SENCO.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials.
  • Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to assess student progress and provide feedback.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
