You will be working in a large, welcoming four form entry school situated in the centre of Alum Rock which has keen and enthusiastic pupils. The school puts pupils first and wants you to be a part of a supportive and respectful community.
Your new role
This primary teaching assistant job requires a Level 3 teaching assistant or higher to support the class teacher within the classroom. The school are flexible in which year group you will be working in, from Early Years to Key Stage 2. Any additional experiences, for example working with SEN children would be advantageous. This role is initially a long term temporary role through Hays, with an initial one-week paid trial to assess if the role and school is right for you, with the potential of the job becoming permanent as early as Easter.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to hold relevant qualifications to support children in a primary school, be a good team player, have a good understanding and knowledge of the National Curriculum and have good behaviour management skills.
In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory references and you must be available until at least the end of this academic year.
