Position: Year 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: South Sheffield
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract: Fixed-term for one academic year
Responsibilities:
- Providing support within the Year 2 classroom setting
- Conducting intervention classes for Phonics to assist students who are tracking behind their targets
- Utilising the Read Write Inc phonics program
- Collaborating with teachers to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Assisting with classroom management and organisation
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Familiarity with the Read Write Inc phonics program
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (desired)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student development
