Teaching Assistant Opportunities for experienced Tutors | Barking & Dagenham

At Tradewind, we are recruiting tutors (self-employed or employed) that have worked with primary school children to work as Teaching Assistants at primary schools in Barking & Dagenham. The successful candidate will have a confident classroom presence, have a strong understanding of Maths and English in the primary school curriculum and of planning and assessment, as well as experience of making learning interactive and engaging for students.

We have long-term, full-time Teaching Assistant opportunities available in Nursery, Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, starting ASAP and in September. To be applicable for these roles you must be available 5 days a week from 8.30 - 3.30 and live within Barking & Dagenham, or within commutable distance.

Requirements:

• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to helping to create a fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ideally, experience working with children with SEN or willing to work with children with SEN.
• Enthusiasm to engage children in their learning.
• Confident in their ability to manage student behaviour.
• Able to work 5 days a week, from 8.30am - 3.30pm.
• Strong understanding of the UK primary school curriculum.
• Knowledge and experience of planning and assessment of learning.
