I am currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join a prestigious firm based in Newcastle. You will primarily be responsible for handling the tax affairs for HNS individuals and company directors, with some exposure to trusts and clients with an international exposure.

If you have experience within an accountancy practice dealing with tax matters then this could be a great next step for your career.

What you will do:

  • Prepare tax returns for review and undertake peer reviews.
  • Manage day-to-day tax affairs of client portfolio.
  • Ensure engagement letters are in place for clients.
  • Agree and bill fees accordingly.
  • Assist in overall management of client affairs within the tax team.
  • Experience with trusts and Inheritance Tax desirable, though not essential.

What experience you will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a personal tax environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience handling a portfolio of clients
  • An ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
