Tax Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join a prominent firm of Chartered Accountants, at their office in Wakefield.
This firm are passionate about supporting both their clients and employees. You will have the opportunity to progress within the firm, shaping the team and processes, encouraging the firm to continuing to grow and evolve.

About the role:

• Controlling the tax department compliance and ad hoc work, including the management of a Tax Senior.
• Conduct in-depth tax consultations with clients to understand their financial goals and circumstances.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients.
• Assist clients with tax-related inquiries and help resolve any tax issues they may encounter.
• Liaise with external bodies to ensure tax advice is delivered accurately and promptly.

Preferred experience:

• Strong personal tax compliance experience gained within an Accountancy Practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being confident liaising with a wide range of clients both face-to-face and over email/phone.
• ATT, ACA, or ACCA qualified.
• Exit/ Succession planning, including purchase of own shares, MBO, HMRC Clearance Applications.

• Remuneration planning: Dividend vs. Bonus.
• Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) Schemes.
• Setting up Employment Related Securities (ERS) Scheme with HMRC
