Tax Adviser for HNWI in West London

A West London Tax practice is currently looking for a Tax Adviser/Accountant to work in its private client team. They are looking to hire someone into a fast growing, practice, to offer accounting tax advice to High Net Worth Individuals. The firm is offering a varied role doing both advisory and compliance work for a broad client portfolio. £35K to £50K.

The Role:

As a Tax Adviser, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients which will include; HNWIs, professional persons, entrepreneurs, partnerships and non-UK domiciled clients. Your clients will be provided to you by the practice.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare tax returns
  • Property strategy & tax planning - i.e. using LTD to hold Property portfolio and its structuring
  • Understanding of Employee Share schemes with vesting programme such as Restricted Stock Options etc
  • Trustee Accounting and Taxation
  • Small Business accounting
  • Assist with the general private client issues and suggest tax planning opportunities for clients within their portfolio
  • Communication and correspondence with HMRC
  • Communication with and answering queries from clients

The Candidate:

  • Ideally AAT qualified (to commence CTA study)
  • 5-10 years’ personal tax experience
  • Good knowledge of income tax, capital allowances, employment taxes, capital gains tax and benefits and non-domiciled clients
  • A knowledge of foreign income, tax credits and inheritance tax
  • An ability to work under pressure and to be able to prioritise
  • A proactive attitude
  • Comfortable with high levels of client engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • It would be advantageous if you have worked in similar role before, but this is not essential
