Are you looking to take a step into a FTSE listed business, working as a Tax Accountant within one of the most exciting brands in their industry?

The business is doing extremely well, and the Head of Tax is now keen to hire 2 new people into the Tax team, one of which would be a Direct Tax Accountant. The role would be based from the Reading office, with a hybrid pattern meaning you would only need to be in the office 1 or 2 days a week.

The team is relatively lean for the size of the business as a lot of the work is outsourced currently and so this should be seen as a superb chance to get involved in some really exciting projects around Corporate Tax, looking into things such as Tax Provisions, Capital Allowances, and Tax Forecasting.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Accountant, you will:

  • Deliver the Corporation Tax cycle across the group and subsidiaries
  • Manage one direct report who will prepare Tax Returns, with your responsibility to review these and be directly involved when they are away.
  • Review and Advise on R&D Relief claims.
  • Provide advice to subsidiary business units on various areas of Corporate Tax including Deductions, Transfer Pricing, Shared Responsibility and more!

Requirements:

As a Tax Accountant, you will need:

  • Experience within Direct Tax Accounting and/or Corporate Tax
  • Statutory Tax Accounting experience
  • Experience with AlphaTax would be highly beneficial.
  • Tax Compliance background.

Benefits:

As a Tax Accountant, you will get:

  • Hybrid working arrangements (1 or days per week in the office)
  • Ability to allow for part-time/fractional working practices (3, 4 or 5 days per week considered)
  • Enhanced company pension
  • Private Medical Insurance for yourself and immediate family
  • Car Allowance and Yearly bonus offered
