Role: Systems Engineer ( Tool Centric)

Term: 12 Months (Extension possible)

Rate: (£70- £72 P/h umbrella)

Site Location: Cheltenham

A Systems Engineer is needed to support requirements creation and lifecycle; baseline creation/management in DOORS, and general LHS support. The Project needs are have grow that a Full-Time member of staff is needed to support existing Perm LHS staff and the general increased workload on the Project for the next 12 months minimum.

Essential Responsibilities

  • To support Perm staff DOORS (Requirements) database Admin.
  • The tasking will include creating formal baselines from the database and performing the necessary, independent quality checks on the data output by use of existing scripts or by direct review.
  • Where appropriate, performing data mining and analysis on the technical items within the database.
  • Supporting the Perm staff member in holding Change Reviews and incorporation of changes into the database.
  • Supporting (or even performing) the Requirements and Validation team in generating and approving technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with Rational DOORS tool with focal/admin experience in running DXL scripts.
  • Understanding of the Systems Requirement derivation process and importance of change control and management
  • Someone who can run the scripts we have to create baselines, and who can troubleshoot them
  • There is a data analysis side to the role to confirm quality of the output.

Desired Characteristics ( Not Necessary)

  • An ideal candidate will be prepared to know technical functionality, this can then help during the 'Supporting Reviews' and 'Data Analysis' part.
