Systems Engineer - £30k to £42k based South Manchester. One of the North West’s most progressive and innovative IT solution providers is seeking to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Support Consultant to focus on the delivery (70%) and 2nd / 3rd line support of infrastructure solutions including MS Server, VMWare, Exchange/365, Storage & Networking technologies.


You must have at least 5 years’ experience gained with an IT Solutions provider of implementing and supporting IT infrastructure solutions - with experience in most of the following areas:

  • Windows Server 2008,2012,2016
  • Virtualisation - ideally VMware, consider Hyper-V
  • SAN Technologies
  • LAN (VLAN) / WAN
  • Office 365
  • Pre-Sales or project management desirable

Any experience with Citrix, Exchange, Web Services (Azure, Amazon), SQL Server and Sharepoint would be advantageous as would industry accreditation - MCSE/MCSA, VCP, Citrix CCA/CCP.


The Systems Engineer will be involved in delivering technical infrastructure projects centred on the above technologies including build, configuration and implementation (70%) plus 2nd / 3rd line support to SMEs, Enterprise and public sector clients mainly in North West England.

With 5 years+ experience in a client facing role the Systems Engineer will possess first class communication skills, a positive and professional work manner, the ability to work individually or in a team, and a flexible "can do" attitude.

Based out of South Manchester the majority of clients are North West based with occasional UK travel. Salary £30,000 to £42,000 (poss £45k for exceptional candidate)
