Job Title: Surveyor / Inspector - Passive Fire protection
Location: Northampton
Salary: >£45,000 + benefits

Established in 1989, Our client is the UK's leading passive fire protection specialist, supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to public and private sector organisations across the country.

You will be part of a team carrying out Fire Door & Compartmentation surveys on secure sites so all candidates must have or be able to obtain the relevant clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete visual inspections and surveys on fire doors & Compartmentation to ensure they are up to compliance standards
  • Produce reports and offer advice and recommendations to clients
  • Have a good understanding of Timber Fire Doors, door surrounds and similar furniture
  • Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's rating
  • Be able to ensure that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible
  • Have good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation

Experience / Qualifications

  • Fire Door & Compartmentation Experience (Installation, Supervising, Surveying)
  • Recognised Fire Door Related Qualification
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT literate, able to use microsoft suite and Tablet/PDA's.
