Supported Housing Officer

£12-14ph

18.5 hours per week

Temporary contract

Newcastle

Currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to join a Public Sector organisation in Newcastle. My client is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are experienced in working within Supported Housing environments to join their team on an ongoing basis

Key responsibilities of the Supported Housing Officers:

  • Supporting a service providing temporary accommodation
  • Carrying out viewings of accommodation with incoming residents to ensure the accommodation is suitable for their needs
  • Processing sign ups, ensuring tenants understand their obligations in terms of tenancy sustainment
  • Managing tenancy breaches in relation to ASB or rent arrears
  • Completing risk assessments and Housing Benefit applications
  • Carrying out weekly spot checks on properties
  • Undertaking Health & Safety inspections
  • Arranging any repairs and maintenance works, as necessary

Required skills and experience of the Supported Housing Officer:

  • Previous experience providing Housing Management or Support
  • Enhanced DBS
