A well regarded SEN School in Bristol , is seeking to hire a SEN teacher on a long-term contract basis to give their children with learning disabilities crucial and life-changing support. A 7.5-hour day, Monday through Friday, will be required for this position. The school provides services for children with special needs, including those with PMLD, MLD, ASD, and global learning delays. Experience working at a special education school or other type of facility is helpful due to the wide range of demands their kids have. Although not required, abilities like Team Teach, moving and handling, and many others are ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing & delivering of the current National Curriculum.
  • Providing engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Overseeing support staff in the classroom.
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Key Stage 1 experience
  • Full enhanced DBS
