Monday - Friday

8am - 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm

Our client, a leading automotive and supplier, are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager. You will oversee and optimise all aspects of the supply chain process within the business, including managing the flow of goods, services, and information from the point of origin, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, stock accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall supply chain performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Managing Director and indirectly to the Global Supply Chain Manager, you will develop and implement supply chain strategies critical for business needs.
  • Analyse current supply chain processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage an experienced team of Material Planners, Production Planners and a Warehouse Manager
  • Supplier management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Inventory management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Demand forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.
  • Continuous improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse data, and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons whilst at work
  • Cooperate fully with all health and safety instructions and arrangements
  • Report any health and safety related accidents, incidents or concerns to Supervisors/Management

The Candidate;

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business
