With employed Site Operatives and a network of specialist sub-contractors, the whole spectrum from domestic and commercial property is dealt with

This is a new role due to business growth, a challenging and varied opportunity for an experienced professional to join this ever-growing firm and add real value.

The role will involve managing contractors and sub-contractor operatives on the Building Solutions Team. You will be visiting contractors, auditing them, looking at their pricing so relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

Visit contactors working on company projects

Audit contractors

Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality

Ensure you're aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain

Manage and motivate a team

improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process

Develop new and existing relationships with contractors

Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain

Stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.

Essential Requirements

  • Clean driving licence and must be willing to travel.
  • Supply chain management experience - ideally sector relevant
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong planning skills
  • A logical and systematic approach to work
  • This mfirm is extremely supportive of trainig and development
  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally
  • Experience of working with contractors/trades
  • Computer literate and confident with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator with good grammar and spelling.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Organised and honest.,Supply chain management qualification - ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional certification (CSCP)

HOURS OF WORK: 8.45-5.00pm Monday to Friday with 1 Lunch

HOLIDAY: 25 days plus bank holidays, an extra 16 hours of time off in lieu taken at no more than two-hour slots which equates to the total of 27 days plus bank holidays. An additional day is also given for your Birthday if it falls on a weekday.
