Job Description
Our clients are looking for someone enthusiastic and looking for a new challenge to join their growing team as a Subsidence Monitoring Technician. They work with insurance companies to monitor properties that may be suffering the effects of subsidence.

All training will be provided and the role will be field-based, you will work as part of a two-person team, or at times on your own, meaning the right candidate will have high levels of self-motivation and also be a team player. At some visits you may be required to use the provided ladders, up to 4 metres high. Working outdoors is a big part of the role as our clients cover the whole of the UK, even Scotland on occasion.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Precise Crack & Level Monitoring on properties (Domestic and Commercial)
  • Driving from site to site carrying out a variety of surveying tasks
  • Provide detailed site plans detailing everything on site
  • Compiling photographs of key points of interest for insurance companies
  • Completing Excel worksheets
  • Reviewing your weekly day sheets to ensure you are prepped and ready to carry out all your required tasks
  • Checking all equipment is calibrated and in working order
  • Replenishing consumable stock via the office or externally
  • Reporting any issues or concerns, immediately to your line manager
  • Maintaining all company equipment to a high standard, including vehicles
  • Effectively communicating with policy holders and office staff
  • Flexibility as sometimes a job can change at the last minute
  • Using own initiative to problem solve, eliminating errors as far as reasonably possible
  • Sending through hours and miles at the end of each shift
  • Ensuring company vehicles are cleaned monthly and kept in good working order, informing Fleet Manager of any vehicle related problems

Our client believes this represents an exciting opportunity for the right person to learn about a little-known side of the construction and insurance industries, and whilst previous experience would be helpful, it is not essential, as full training will be provided. If the terms ‘motivated’, ‘energetic’, ‘punctual’, ‘trustworthy’ and ‘willing to learn’ resonate with you, then this could well be the opportunity you have been looking for.
