Strategic Insight Manager

Based in Plymouth or Roscoff, France for 3 days a week in the office, our client is looking for a Strategic Insight Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, with some travel needed to both sites.

This job would suit a good technical data analyst with good commercial mindset and strong communication skills to be responsible for the delivery and presentation of insights, modelling & forecasting that inform and shape business planning through highlighting opportunities and risks.

This company are an awarding winning transport provider with offices in three different locations in the south coast as well as offices in Roscoff, France. The role is overseeing a team of 2 analysts with the overall responsibility to run the Strategy Insight function focusing on macro trends, market share and bigger commercial projects (new products, markets etc.)

The successful individual will be a strong communicator, ideally having previously managed or supervised teams, and have good technical analysis skills whilst being commercial enough to relate the findings to the business and understand their impact. They must be an advanced user of data visualisation software, ideally Tableau, and strong on programming skills in languages such as Python or R.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for the line management and success of the strategic insight team (currently 2 analysts)
• Responsible for the delivery and presentation of insights, modelling & forecasting that inform and shape business planning through highlighting opportunities and risks.
• Drive forward the advancement of predictive analytical capability.
• Work closely with key stakeholders across the commercial and leadership teams to understand their insight needs.
• Project business outlook scenarios through forecasting to the satisfaction of the commercial leadership team.
• Lead strategic studies end to end from creation and briefing to recommendations as and when required and agreed.
