First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Storesperson to join an established and growing company in the North/East Greater Glasgow region. Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to Marine products world-wide.

What's on Offer:

  • Temp (probation) to perm after 12 weeks
  • Paying £14 per hour while under temp (probation) through agency
  • Paying circa £12.5 per hour once permanent
  • 39hr work week
  • 4.5 day work week
  • 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 12pm Fri
  • OT 1.5x

This role will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team of operatives in ensuring the efficient and continual, management and organisation, of products on the premise.

Duties will involve the following:

  • Working with inventory control systems via a computer system
  • Forklift operation
  • Building of product packages for skilled trades to construct
  • Stock checks and rotation
  • General organisation and management of the premise
  • Operating in a heavy manufacturing environment and adhering to PPE protocol

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

  • Pride and discipline in their own work and performance.
  • Prior experience operating in a storeman role of at least 1 year.
  • Prior experience operating in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift (in house certification can be provided).
  • A base level of physical ability to withstand regular manual handling of objects weighing upto 10kg.
