Due to continued growth, my client who operates Worldwide is now recruiting for 4 Stores Assistants to join their Manufacturing facility, based close to Wakefield. The successful Stores Assistant will play a critical part in supporting the business as it grows, you will rotate between goods in, picking & packing and stock control, this is a high peace environment and can be at times physically demanding.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business within an essential industry sector, offering a long-term future, working Monday - Friday and paying an attractive £27,248 salary.

Stores Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Document the receipt of inbound parts, correct placement for stock locations, pick, pack, and dispatch orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all parts are correctly labelled with storage location and logged on system.
  • Operate machinery, handling equipment & unload vehicles.
  • Assist with regular stock takes.

Stores Assistant Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a strong logistics, warehouse, or stores experience.
  • Be self-motivated, hardworking and physically fit.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ideally hold a valid forklift licence.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills.
  • Ideally you will have SAP experience or similar inhouse computerised stock system.

Stores Assistant Benefits:

  • Salary £27,248
  • Monday to Thursday 7am - 4.30pm & Friday 7am - 1.30pm
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Opportunity for overtime.
