Due to the upcoming opening of our brand new M&S Simply Food store in Whipps Cross Hospital we are currently recruiting a talented Store Manager.

Would you like to be involved in the opening of a brand new store? Are you looking for an opportunity to make a name for yourself by setting standards high from the off? Have you got the drive to lead and develop a brand new team?

What you'll do:
As an experienced Retail or Hospitality Manager, you'll take pride in running an outstanding operation - driving sales, managing costs and inspiring the team to make sure every customer has a brilliant experience. It's also important that you create a positive rapport with the NHS Trust and the landlords too! Hands-on, target-focused and entrepreneurial - you'll treat the business as your own. Looking after all elements of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and training onwards, you'll take charge of your team's development. It is vital that they're ready to give a great service as Hospital locations are particularly demanding - it can be an emotional setting that requires an empathetic approach.

Who we're looking for:
You're a skilled retail or hospitality manager who is in their element when delivering exceptional customer service whilst continuously inspiring a team. You lead by example, showing them what great customer service looks like. With this approach, you'll win the respect of staff at every level, getting the best from each individual and encouraging them to develop. Commercially sharp, you know that putting customers first is key to meeting targets and budgets, and you'll take full responsibility for P&L.
