Position Overview:

As a Stakeholder Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders involved in the major construction scheme. Working closely with project teams, clients, local authorities, and community groups, you will ensure effective communication, collaboration, and resolution of issues to support project success. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a high-profile project and contribute to its successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to identify, prioritise, and manage stakeholder interests, concerns, and expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate stakeholder requirements and feedback into project planning, design, and execution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and forums to foster open communication, gather feedback, and build consensus on key project decisions.
  • Monitor stakeholder sentiment and perceptions, anticipating potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community groups to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and approvals.
  • Prepare and deliver stakeholder communications, presentations, and reports to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate stakeholder engagement activities and outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.

Requirements:

  • CSCS Cardholder
  • H&S Qualification, proven experience. SMSTS minimum
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, community relations, or public affairs within the construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex relationships effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse stakeholder interests, identify risks, and develop proactive engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and practices related to stakeholder engagement and community relations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
