Starting Point Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Service Engineer on behalf of our client based in London area.
Salary: Attractive salary, dependent on experience

Job purpose -The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for sprinkler systems in diverse commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and efficiently resolve issues with sprinkler systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore the functionality of sprinkler systems.
  • Recommend and implement system upgrades or modifications to enhance performance, efficiency, and compliance with current regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, inspections, and repairs performed on sprinkler systems. Generate detailed reports for clients and internal use.
  • Interact professionally with clients to provide technical support, answer inquiries, and address concerns related to sprinkler systems.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and regulatory changes pertaining to fire protection systems. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.

Specific requirements and Qualifications

  • Competency to Level 2 in Fire Sprinkler installation
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in servicing and maintaining sprinkler systems in commercial and/or industrial environments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components of sprinkler systems. Familiarity with various types of sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and pumps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces as necessary.
