Are you a Sports Coach looking to gain experience working in a Birmingham Secondary school?

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a long term Sports Coach to work in a good mixed secondary school located in the Birmingham area near Harborne. The school has on site parking and excellent public transport links from Birmingham and surrounding areas.

The role starts from 22 January 2024, full-time until July 2024 and potentially ongoing. You will be supporting students across KS3 and KS4 PE and may gain some general cover lessons across all subjects, helping students to access the curriculum and avoiding disruption to others in the classroom.

The school is very welcoming, with a supportive senior leadership team. If you haven't had lots of experience working in schools but have over 12 months coaching in sports with under 16 year old's this is an exciting opportunity for you! Pay rates available are between £100-130 per day dependant on experience.


The Essentials:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Sport.
  • Level 3 Extended Certificate in Sports Coaching.
  • Have previous experience working with 11-16 year old's
  • Interested in sports and ideally have experience mentoring or coaching under 16 year old's
  • Have a positive attitude and desire to work in education
  • Have confidence managing behaviour within a classroom setting
  • Be a passionate and hard-working individual, with the capacity to work with a variety of ability students.
