Specialist Occupational Therapist

Location: Alton, Hampshire

Salary: £31,600 - £46,650 pro rata + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full Time / Part Time

The Client:

Our client is a well-established school and college, catering to physically challenged youth, offering extensive therapy services.

The Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to a dynamic therapy team, providing assessments and interventions for students aged 3 to early 20s.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of students with complex needs.
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions across various domains.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.
  • Facilitate students' engagement in functional activities.
  • Advise colleagues, parents, and carers on complex cases.
  • Deliver clinical training sessions and contribute to service development projects.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previously worked as an Occupational Therapist or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Experience in paediatrics, neurology, or physical disabilities.
  • Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HPC)
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable:

  • Skilled in wheelchair and seating assessments
  • Experienced in supervising occupational therapy students.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting
  • Capable of delivering training sessions
