Specialist Biomedical Scientist, Microbiology

We have a great opportunity for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology to join our remarkable and dynamic team.

The main aim of this role is to provide an efficient and effective service to two general hospitals (Southend University/Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals).

Ideally, the successful candidate should be driven, passionate with good interpersonal skills who wants to develop their career further within a supportive environment. This an exciting time to join us as we have recently built up a state of the art laboratory that t deliver over 900 different tests across a multitude of disciplines.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:
Specialist portfolio or equivalent and at least 2 years post registration experience in Microbiology.
Experience in routine bacteriology and rotation through various different benches such as stool, urine, fecesetc.
Good knowledge and experience of LIMS and computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Statistical Packages
