About the School:

I'm currently working on behalf of an outstanding SEN school committed to providing a high quality of education, care and life experiences for children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) from 3-19 years. Utilising it's three separate campuses to cater for different ages and needs, each one specialising in supporting the pupils at all times. The aim is for the school is to be a happy, welcoming, nurturing environment, where all pupils feel safe, secure and are ready to learn. All aspects of school life are designed to inspire and engage pupils, by implementing a mix of curriculum areas suitable for the different stages of education, creative approaches and essential life skills.

About the role:

  • Have high expectations of children and young people with a commitment to helping them fulfil their potential
  • Communicate effectively and sensitively with children, young people, colleagues, parents and carers
  • Understand the key factors that affect children's learning and progress
  • Create clearly structured activities that interest and motivate learners and advance their learning
  • Work alongside class teachers and other classroom support staff to ensure pupils reach their goals
  • Be a positive and proactive addition to the school generally
